MISSION
The mission of the CNMI Nutrition Assistance Program (NAP) is to help low-income residents and families buy the food they need for good health. The NAP provides food stamps as supplement to eligible low-income or no income households to buy food for proper diets.


AUTHORIZATION
Under CNMI Public Law 1-28 and 2-14, the Nutrition Assistance Program was first established in the CNMI on July 2, 1982. NAP is 100% Federally Funded and governed under the Memorandum of Understanding between the CNMI Government and the U.S Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Services.
